It is black with glass over the front of it, it has a beautiful pendulum that appears in three sections and you can see the mechanisms. This is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish it was slightly larger to show off the quality of the piece.
