Howard Miller 625-259 Murrow Wall Clock Reviews
10 of 10 people found the following review helpful Beautiful clock!, By Megan (Monterey Park, CA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Howard Miller 625-259 Murrow Wall Clock (Kitchen) I was skeptical about buying this clock since there was no review available. After two weeks of searching what's available on line, I decided to take a chance by ordering this clock. When it arrived in the mail, I was very happy with the looks of the clock. It has a very clean look and the numbers are easy to read. The second hand on the has a faint ticking noise but from a distance it's hardly audible. The wood frame, however, doesn't not look as red as it appears on line but overall, I'm very satisified with the appearance and features. The clock adjusts itself to daylight savings time and it was realitively easy to set up. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful Terrific Clock, By This review is from: Howard Miller 625-259 Murrow Wall Clock (Kitchen) I've had this clock for 12 years. Never misses a beat! Beautiful, accurate, care free. You can't beat it for the money. Analog Clock and Digital Time Signal Difficult Combination, This review is from: Howard Miller 625-259 Murrow Wall Clock (Kitchen) Bought a couple small $20 radio controlled digital readout clocks for bedrooms from Oregon Scientific a few years ago, and this analog radio controlled wall clock sometime later. The Howard Miller radio controlled analog clock was somewhat aggravating from the start as it was slow to set itself and useless until it did. It eventually failed after a few years, which seems way too soon for this expensive an item. It began to fail by always setting the time two minutes fast. Then more than two minutes. Then it would inexplicably reset itself hours off with no action on our part. If you want a radio controlled clock, keep it simple, get one with a digital readout. The digital readout radio controlled clock has no moving parts, and it should be accurate, and last much longer than a mechanical driven radio set analog movement. If you want an analog wall clock, just get a non-radio controlled wall clock and reset it when necessary. |
