It is elegant and the glass makes it look fancy and modern. The clock worked out of the box, so no complaints. I could not be happier with my purchase!UPDATE: After 2 years the clock movement stopped working the pendulum swings but the hands no longer move... for $80 you would think this clock that just sits on a wall would work better and last longer than this...
