I purchased it for my son's room because I liked the 5-60 numbering of the hashes. I thought it could help with learning how to tell time. It looks nice, but it is a bit loud. Not loud enough to keep anyone up, but could annoy some people. It is a little pricey for the simple battery clock that it is; though a lot cheaper than a electric "school" clock.
