It looks great. The silver rim around the border is literally a mirror, and the clock itself is glossy, so reflections could be a problem. Before ordering, I cut out a piece of black paper the same size of the clock and hung it on the wall to determine if it would look right, so the size was as expected. I would like to point out that the grey minutes marks are pretty much invisible farther than 5 feet away, even in bright day light, so expect this clock to only show the numbers. I would have given it 5 stars if the minute marks were visible from a reasonable distance.It does have a ticking noise that is audible, but not loud. I only notice it when the TV is off, but if it was in a bedroom, it could be annoying. It is thin, made from glass and you are able to read the exact hour immediately - very elegant piece of design in a room. It looks great on a white wall, because it doesn't stand out that immediately, it rather blends into the environment. I think it also would look great on strongly colored walls, like red, blue or green. Very happy with purchase. |
