I guess you can't expect too much in the way of being sturdy when you spend only $20 on a clock, but I'm super happy with my purchase. I recently painted my kitchen a mango color and this clock has just the right amount of color to look perfect on mango colored walls. Although the clock is a little flimsy (and the minute and hour hands got stuck together initally) the clock works like a charm. With the minute and hour hands getting stuck, it was just one got stuck under the other and I didn't notice it until the next morning when the time was wrong on it, so I just fixed that and it's been working great since.
I honestly do not regret spending the money on this item, as it's the perfect addition to my home.
